The Easter Bunny made a stop at our house again this year. It was a little rainy and quite wet outside so that lazy bunny hid the eggs inside the house. Claire was fairly patient waiting for Bryce to wake up so they could hunt for the eggs. Once Bryce was up, it turned out he had very little (as in no) interest in looking for eggs... even when we showed him there was something inside them. So Claire got to find them all which was just fine with her. Such a nice sister, she did divide the eggs between their two baskets (we decided Harrison didn't need any since he can't have candy yet).
Claire doesn't remember it but a couple years ago that wily Easter Bunny hid plastic eggs but they were empty. I will never forget the forlorn look on her face as she shook almost every single egg only to realize there was nothing inside. That bunny... he does crazy things sometimes! This year they had yummy treats inside.
The bunny brought some fun things for each kid. A book, Easter-shaped pasta, glitter putty in an egg, little chocolate bugs and bunnies... fun stuff!
It was so fun to have Patrick, Aileen and Harrison visit us. When they planned their trip none of us even realized it was Easter weekend. It also turned out that it was the weekend between Cole & Charlie's birthdays and so Aunt Peggy, Uncle David, Trevor and Tara were also in town. We all had a nice time together.
