Cougs vs. Vandals

We had a fun trip to watch the WSU-UI football game last weekend.  The kids attended their first game at Martin Stadium, and Grammy and Grampy came to the game with us, too.  It was a little wet but we had a good time!  Go Cougs!

WSU Homecoming... Finally!

We finally made it back to Pullman for a football game!  Homecoming.  And the Cougs WON!  We had a fun weekend!  We drove to Tekoa on Friday and had dinner at C&D's that night.  They even have Coug glasses there.
Saturday morning we all got decked out in our WSU gear (well, most of us).  We tried to get a picture of the kids looking cute in their crimson and gray... they didn't really cooperate.  I took Claire and Bryce out to Aunt Becky and Uncle Donnie's house.  I can't thank them enough for babysitting and even having the kids sleep over!  The kids had so much fun and have asked several times when they get to do it again.
Then the grown-up and that lucky kid Harrison drove to Pullman for some tailgating and the football game.  We had such a fun day... maybe too much fun!  It was fun to see how the stadium has changed.  So fancy now!

Go Cougs!

Apple Cup Festivities, Etc...

Apple Cup day (Friday after Thanksgiving) started with a visit to Josh, Milly, & Billy (the goats).
Milly is the friendliest by far!
Mom invited all the family over to each left over, watch the game, and visit more.
We *attempted* to take a family photo... with typical results.

For My Fellow Cougars

Want to watch a video about WSU... Click Here - then you'll have to click on Washington and so on to see the WSU one. It's kind of entertaining. I got the link from someone with the CAST (Cougar Admissions Support Team) volunteer program.

A Part of Cougar History

Yes, I had the joy of being a part of history on Saturday. I was THERE for the worst loss in Cougar Football history. Great. Actually it was fun to see campus... here are some pics... I thought I had some others of inside the CUB but I guess not. I think Aileen took some though.
(P.S. Claire was playing with Grammy & Grampy in Tekoa while we were in Pullman; Juan had to stay in Boise and work).

First we went to check out the newly renovated CUB. The Bookie is in the CUB now. It's pretty fancy and nice and tons of stuff! It's on two floors. I was good and didn't even buy anything though.
Here is the CUB from outside on the Mall... it's not as different as I expected.
West entrance near the library (where the CUB market used to be).
East entrance (by the stadium, where the post office used to be).
The stadium from Stadium Way.
All the fans... no, this was way before game time, there really were more people there (ok, not many, but more than this).
Enjoying a beverage before the game... more beverages would have made the game more enjoyable... maybe.
See, I told you there were more fans there... well at least until half time or so.

Go Cougs!!

Claire and Cole at their first Cougar basketball game... it wasn't pretty but the Cougs ended up beating BSU (thank goodness!!!).
