Bryce is 6!

We were in Tekoa for Bryce's birthday this year.  It was a happy and a sad day because in the morning and afternoon we had Uncle Ronnie's memorial service.
We spent the night before Bryce's birthday at Uncle Don and Aunt Becky's house and they made sure his day started out right.  Aunt Becky gave him a special dinosaur that roars and lays candy eggs.  She read him a special birthday story "Of Course Polly Can Ride a Bike" while he ate dinosaur eggs.
We all had breakfast together and Bryce got to blow out candles on a muffin.
After the services all the family reassembled at Grandma Pat's house for Bryce's birthday party.
It was fun for Bryce to get to celebrate with all the cousins that usually can't be a part of his birthday.
Testing out the Rocket-Copters!

New Year

On Saturday, December 30th the kids started the day by going to Danik's Open Gym
That night we went to Dawn's Surprise Birthday Party.  This was the only photo I got.
On New Year's Eve we had a party at our house.  We played games.
And did lots of visiting.
It was a fun night!
We had told Bryce he could open his birthday gift from Grammy and Grampy once it was officially 2018.  He worked hard to stay awake until midnight and immediately opened his gift.
After which he immediately fell asleep.
Happy New Year!

Solar Eclipse

We had a brunch/party with the neighbors and family to celebrate the eclipse on Monday, August 21, 2017.  Boise didn't have 100% total eclipse but really close... like 99.5% or something.
Solar eclipse themed snacks.  (Thanks to Lynsey for the idea!)
The kids would play and then take a time-out to put on their eclipse glasses and check out the sun/moon.
So glad we got to spend the day with baby Jensen!

It doesn't look very dark in this picture but you can see that the sensors thought it was dark enough for the lights to come on by our garage and the neighbors porch.  It really was darker than this and the temperature dropped quite a bit.  It was pretty cool to experience!

Bryce's Birthday Party

We had a small party with family on Saturday to celebrate Bryce's birthday.  I made soup, but I had to make waffles too so that there was something the birthday boy would be willing to eat something.  After lunch it was time to blow out candles one more time.  Bryce loves watching the Curious George show on PBS and so I made him a Curious George birthday cake.
Bryce was really excited to get to open more presents.  I wish I had been taking a video because he opened up a gift from the neighbors and started to freak out because guess what was inside... another TIMER!  This one is a little digital timer for the kitchen.  He did a crazy little dance and was pretty much overjoyed.  Once again, it was difficult to move on to the next gift... but he was convinced.
The kids had fun playing with play-doh and playing hide-n-seek.  Bryce says thank you very much for the fun gifts!  And thank you to Jade for all her help getting things ready for the party!
