We spent Labor Day weekend camping at Redfish Lake. It was Patrick, Aileen, Ty, Dawn, Cole, Claire and I (Juan had a class so he couldn't come). We had a great time! WARNING: There are a lot of pictures here...
Claire started the trip off by singing some
Twinkle Twinkle in the car.
We took the road through Idaho City on the way there. We stopped in Lowman for an ice cream cone.

Ty was the BBQ master Friday night.

A little cribbage before bed.

The sun was so pretty on the mountains in the morning.

Claire was ready to kayak first thing. It was so windy during the afternoons morning was the best time to go out but it was pretty cold.

Kids on a rock.

We took a very short little hike down a "trail" that started at the beach by our camp and went along the lake. There were a lot of downed trees to climb over... or under in some cases (which was difficult with Claire in the backpack). We turned back when it started to get steep and slippery.

The kids loved to walk around the camp ground loop.

The Harelson/Randall crew headed back home on Sunday, but before they left we remembered to get a group shot.

Dawn, Tyler, and Cole.

Pat and Aileen.

We went back down to the beach again Sunday afternoon. It was really windy again.
That Uncle Pat is so much fun...

Claire helped me build a wind block under this log.

Claire loved the chipmunks and they loved the peanuts!

Great sunset on Sunday night!

Enjoying one last campfire.

Claire and I took a couple pictures and detours on the way home. This was a meadow outside of Stanley.

We drove towards Challis to where Yankee Fork joins the main river. It was really pretty. We turned back here and then came home on through Banks which wasn't bad except there was quite a slow down of traffic through Horseshoe Bend.
